Christmas 8-Ball Singles Tournament

Image
Pool Players of The Brooke want to thank our generous sponsors Lindsay’s Quality Cues , Truly Nolan, Sunny Side Up Café, and 00R00 Auto .  15 weeks after closing the Starter Shack, the Pool Players of the Brooke Billiards Club hosted the Inaugural 8-Ball Singles Tournament in HOA1’s newly opened, beautiful Catalina Recreation Center (CRC).  The CRC Billiard Room houses 3 brand new Connelly 8 foot pool tables with Simonis 360 cloth, 3 eye catching Diamond pool table lights, and Aramith Tournament Belgian Pool Balls.  The room is adorned with billiard art and there is plenty of room for the spectators and participants to move around comfortably.  We all love this new venue!     Tournament Directors were Dominic Borland and Joe Giammarino.  The following field of 17 players gathered to play competitive 8-Ball.   Dan “Oh No!” Stebbins, Dominic “The Doctor” Borland, Jack Hepner, Bob “O” Ogle, Terry Sterling, Warren Henderson, Jerry Savage, Jerry Cogswell, Gary “One Rail” Barlow, Ji

CRC Grand Opening

Image
The CRC's Grand Opening was December 10, 2018 at Noon.  About 45 residents and billiard players attended.  Bill Lich had the honor of cutting the ribbon.  Bill's wife Carol who passed away earlier this year was the House Committee Chair and was instrumental in the interior design.  Plenty of cookies were consumed, but none in the billiard room as we do not allow food in there.  Vivian Timian HOA1's General Manager presided over the activities.  Rian Ross HOA1's Operation Manager also attended, his team was also a big part of effort to get this completed.  Enjoy the pictures. Joe Giammarino addressing the attendees. WOW!!! PPB's Founding Fathers.  L to R: Joe "Fast Eddie" Giammarino, Fred "The Baker" Dianda, Dominic "The Doctor" Borland,   Bill Lich cutting the ribbon with Joe and Dominic assisting.
